How long have you been an Anne Arundel County Professional Fire Fighter?
I was hired in 2001, so working on 17 years

What’s your best experience thus far?
It's hard to pinpoint one experience really. There have been many defining moments in my career that have impacted my life. The first thing that comes to my mind is that I have had the pleasure of working with some really awesome people in my career! These are some of the most dedicated, compassionate, hard working, educated and driven people I have ever met and being able to work as a team on some of the most difficult emergencies with them has absolutely made a difference.

What was your childhood dream job?
I wanted to be a flight paramedic with the Maryland State Police! As a kid I loved watching the helicopter land at the firehouse near my house. My brother and I would hop on our bikes and ride there to try to catch a glimpse of the person being treated.

What's your favorite moment of your career so far?
I think I have two at this point in my career. First, getting promoted to Lieutenant was great for me and my family. Having them attend the promotional ceremony for that accomplishment was a really proud moment for me. Secondly, pursuing a cause very close to my heart and seeing our event come to life was an outstanding accomplishment. I'm still in disbelief when I think about how amazing the Childhood Cancer Day was and the impact we are making.

What was your first job?
When I was 15 I was hired at a local hair salon as a licensed nail technician. I worked there for 5 years doing nails and helping with the front desk.

Guilty Pleasure: What can you not live without?
Not sure I have one, but I do love french fries and pizza and Gollywobbler Black wine ;-)

If Hollywood made a movie of your life; who would you like to see play the lead role as you?
Hmmm, maybe Mila Kunis or Mandy Moore?
