Widows and Orphans Golf Tournament

The Anne Arundel County Professional Fire Fighters held their 2nd Annual Widows and Orphans Memorial Golf Tournament on September 7, 2017.

The event benefits the Widows and Orphans Fund, created to help support the families of our fire fighters who are seriously injured or lose their life during their time with Anne Arundel County Fire Department, providing the families with the assistance they need and allowing them to focus on their family.

Sadly, over the last three years we have lost four members of our department.  A fire fighter was recently significantly injured, spending weeks at Shock Trauma with a traumatic brain injury from which he is still recovering.

Dozens of golfers enjoyed their day at the Compass Point Golf Course, raising funds and supporting this important cause.  We thank all participants and look forward to seeing them on the links next year!
