Superhero Family Fun Day
The Anne Arundel County Professional Fire Fighters hosted the Inaugural “Fired Up for Childhood Cancer Awareness Super Hero Family Fun Day” at the Earleigh Heights Volunteer Fire Department on September 10, 2017.
The Anne Arundel County Professional Fire Fighters collaborated with Earleigh Heights Volunteer Fire Department, BWI Professional Fire Fighters, Anne Arundel County Police, Annapolis City Fire Department, and others to bring awareness to childhood cancer and support Anne Arundel County’s true bravest, our children fighting cancer.
“Children fighting cancer are the true hometown heroes,” said Lieutenant Dreama Jester, Chairwoman of the event. “We want to show support for those children who are currently fighting cancer, while raising awareness in our community.”
The event featured free activities including two moon bounces, face painting, a DJ, as well as a unique opportunity to touch-a-truck, see the Anne Arundel County Police Helicopter, Mission BBQ truck, a Fire Engine, BWI crash truck, and much more! Vendors, informational and county service booths, several food trucks, a silent auction, and raffle rounded out this amazing, fun filled family afternoon.
Attendees will all remember the fun day, and feel good knowing all of the proceeds supported local childhood cancer groups.
